Shoppers Conquer Castle Dene’s Cave!
15th June 2015
Our Conquer the Cave event held on 26th and 27th May saw the UK’s first artificial caving experience arrive at the centre to give youngsters, who otherwise may not get the chance to participate, the opportunity to enjoy the fun and excitement of real caving in a safe and controlled environment.
Everyone who took part in the event was provided with a helmet and a head torch, as well as being briefed by the onsite team of experts. Once ready, they headed inside to discover the caves…and a few hidden prizes along the way. In addition to the caving, visitors to the centre were also able to have their faces painted for free!
All photos from the event were uploaded to our Facebook page. where people could vote for their favourite for the chance to win £50. Lauren Mulholland’s picture achieved 312 votes and she was crowned the winner! Lauren was presented with her prize by Barry Parnell, Castle Dene’s Centre Manager.
